The goal of this project is to help me understand the bigger picture of product creation. I wanted to build something simple that I know I can code from start to finish, so that I can see every stage of development myself, from initial design to app store deployment.

This calculator app is a completely solo project, fueled by my own curiosity and drive to learn. I’m handling everything myself (research, design, coding, testing, and future publishing) because I want a broad understanding of the entire process, even if I specialize in just one part of it.

The vision is to create something clean, functional, and fun. I’m focusing on simplicity first; all the fancy extras can come later. For now, my goal is to experience and understand the entire development process.

Final Product (kind of)

This project covers all my front-end work so far, spanning Figma, Canva, HTML, and CSS. I’m still working on some things, including the settings page and loading screen, which will be added in a later update.

I’m now well into the JavaScript side of development. You can check out a demo in the video below. Once I finish refining the current features, I’ll be moving into app development using React Native, since it builds on the JavaScript foundation I’ve been working with.

The ultimate goal for this project is to see it all the way through. To not just design and code it, but to publish it as a fully functioning app on the App Store and Google Play. This project represents my commitment to understanding the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
